Voice Actors Lend A Helping Voice. Voice Talent Share Their Stories

I recently wrote a blog called “A Unique Opportunity To Be A Miracle Maker” about voice actors lending their voices offstage, so onstage, deaf actors could play their parts.

Arlene Kahn commented on the blog and shares her own story:

“A couple of years ago I played a police officer in a training video produced by the Chicago Hearing Society, dealing with domestic abuse for the hearing impaired. The lead actress and one of the police officers was deaf. A couple of the producers were also deaf. It was an amazing experience watching the producers and actors communicating with the director who was hearing but could sign. I’m fascinated with sign language as it is and had to keep apologizing during the audition because I got so caught up in watching the signing. I had never worked with any deaf actors before and it was an amazing experience.”

VOICE ACTORS! If you have a “Miracle” voice over story of giving back, please let us know and maybe we’ll publish YOUR comment!!
