Seems networking is very alive and well in the voice over world! Last week I wrote a VoiceRegistry blog, “Voice Over Work=Networking” and got a lot of enthusiastic responses. Bobbin Beam wrote about blogging, “It’s a great way to reach out from our solo existences to connect…” As I sit here, alone writing this daily blog, Bobbin’s words ring true. Here’s another comment from Kiliki, “I just spoke with a very successful voice over actor who’s doing great in a smaller market. He continues to network in the major markets all the time. He says his secret to good networking is being real with those he contacts. Being a salesman and trying too hard to get voice over work directly is a sure fire way to turn anyone off.” Great advice!
