Once again I’m in the field at The Invisible Studios in West Hollywood, stage managing for the LA Theatre Works radio play, Arcadia. As I sit here in the other room, I can hear Kate Burton bring Hannah to life. Once again it’s like a master class in voice acting to listen to these performers. They’re not on a Broadway stage or on a movie set. Doesn’t matter. It’s just as powerful to hear them behind the mic, creating those “movies in the mind” as Martin Jarvis so eloquently puts it. A true testament to the power and magic of the voice.

Peter Paige plays Valentine and Greg Itzin plays Bernard. Arcadia will air in 2009. You must check it out through LA Theatre Works.
