Radio Plays a Big Draw for High Profile Actors

What is it about the Radio Play? Big names, seasoned Broadway actors, even TV actors are drawn to this genre of entertainment. Why?

“Because how you look doesn’t matter, neither does your age, it doesn’t take a lot of time and most of all, it’s a rewarding and hugely creative experience” says BBC director/producer Pete Atkin in tomorrow’s podcast interview (Tuesday, November 18th).

Radio plays are a huge draw in England with one radio play per day on the air. The BBC is at the center of this phenomenon. They’re so committed that they often come to the States to record their British talent (and American talent) in plays like “Kicking The Habit.”

Listen to how Director Atkin casts voice talent and works his magic bringing these stories to life behind the mic in the recording studio.
