Okay, so voice actors really do have extraordinary powers! I came across Brad Reed Thompson’s blog site.

Apparently Thompson kept seeing the donkey in Shrek as he was listening to another donkey from the Old Testament on Word Of Promise audio bible. Ah, the indelible marks of the voice.

“I first really noticed it while re-reading The Chronicles of Narnia after my love for these books was rekindled by the recent feature films. When I read them as a kid, I was able to envision Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy in whatever way I chose. I think like most boys who read those books as a kid, High King Peter ended up looking a lot like myself in my imagination. But as I read these books again, my imaginary characters had been replaced by the images of the actors from the motion pictures.
