Thanks so much for sharing that story!
It really showed Don’s essence!

I was lucky enough to have met him for only the second time at the April event you mentioned….I count myself blessed to have met him even briefly. He was a wonderful ambassador for our industry, and a wonderful person. He will be missed.

After seeing a number of media interviews with Don, I was mostly impressed with his down to earth view on the industry and his lack of big headiness that sometime attaches to ones success. We have all been blessed by his talents and the time he spent with us.

He will never be forgotten.

Your story crystallizes for me what seemed almost too magical to be true: sharing ideas, stories and laughs with Don, and getting to know is incredible wife and children. Don was, in a word, a gem. I have no doubt that your words will help many who never met Don to better understand his splendid presence in the world.
