A Very Unique Take on Voice Over Success. Marice Tobias speaks to Tracy Pattin
February 2, 2009 by: Tracy PattinWhen you go to her website and click on “Thoughts” you get a real sense of this very unique woman. Marice Tobias says, “I believe the context in which any message lives is as important as the content. It is especially crucial for those in entertainment and broadcasting to have a greater sense of the temper and tone of the times in order to effectively deliver messages.” She clearly goes deeper into the psyche of the voice actor to get to their essence, to what makes them tick. I guess that’s why they call her “The Voice Whisperer.”
Last Friday, I had the privilege of interviewing the renowned Marice Tobias about her life, her voice coaching techniques and what makes her tick. She sets herself apart by working with top professionals in the business. Voice talent can work with her mainly through phone consultations and at seminars across the Country that always sell out. Read Bob Souer’s blog on his experiences at her South Florida seminar last October.
Check out part 1 of my podcast interview with Marice tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb. 3rd).

New Technologies: Pros and Cons in today’s Voice-Over business
Tracy,
I’m looking forward to hearing your interview with Marice. I should point out though that while I linked to and mentioned Marice’s South Florida workshop last fall, I didn’t actually attend that one. I was, however, at the New York City workshop the following month. I put up a total of 3 posts about that experience.
